Monica Jensen > Wiley is a 6-year-old San Francisco garter snake living at the San Francisco Zoo and part of the education department. This species lives anywhere from 8 to 15 years in captivity.  The female is twice the size of the male.
Monica Jensen > Amy Gaffan, an education specialist from the San Francisco Zoo, brought "Wiley," a 6-year-old San Francisco garter snake.  Pollution and development are the root cause of this species declining numbers.
Monica Jensen > Brent Plater, director of the Wild Equity Institute, told the crowd that the Golden Gate National Park had the most endangered species than any other national park, adding being number one is bitter-sweet.
Monica Jensen > Around sixty-nine people met at the Presidio Sports Basement for the kick-off to the year-long competition to find the most endangered species in the Golden Gate National Park.
